INVISIBLE ARMOUR

What Is Paint Protection Film?

Paint Protection Film, commonly called PPF, is a clear urethane film applied over painted surfaces to help protect them from rock chips, scratches, stains and road debris.

Once installed, the film is nearly invisible, allowing your factory paint to remain the star while adding a sacrificial layer between it and Alberta roads.

WHY XPEL PPF?

Built to Take the Hit Instead of Your Paint

Self-Healing

Advanced topcoat technology helps light scratches and swirl marks disappear with heat.

UV

Non-Yellowing

UV-stable film is designed to remain clear rather than yellowing over time.

Stain Resistant

Helps resist staining from bugs, bird droppings, road grime and environmental contamination.

Easy Maintenance

PPF is easy to clean and maintain with compatible wash and care products.

Edge Seal

Edge Seal Technology helps keep film securely adhered for long-term durability.

Precision Fit

Vehicle-specific kits allow accurate coverage without cutting directly against your paint.

ALBERTA HWY PROTECTION
BUILT FOR WHERE WE DRIVE

One Highway Drive Can Be Enough for the First Chip.

Gravel, sanding material, construction debris and stones thrown by traffic make front-end paint especially vulnerable on Alberta roads.

PPF protects the areas that take the most abuse before the damage reaches your paint.

HIGH-IMPACT AREAS NEED MORE

Thicker Film Where the Abuse Is Worst.

Our high-impact applications use thicker 10M film because thinner products simply don’t hold up as well in areas constantly exposed to road debris.

It’s especially valuable on dually boxes and other panels that live directly in the path of gravel and tire spray.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Paint Protection Film FAQ

What is Paint Protection Film?

PPF is a transparent self-healing urethane film installed over painted surfaces to help protect against chips, scratches and stains.

What’s the difference between Partial and Full Front PPF?

Partial Front covers the first 18 inches of the hood, matching fender areas, mirrors and front bumper. Full Front extends protection across the complete hood and front fenders along with the bumper, grille, lights, A-pillars, roof strip and mirrors.

How long does PPF last?

High-quality PPF can last up to approximately 10 years with proper maintenance and care.

Will PPF turn yellow?

XPEL PPF uses a UV-stable topcoat designed to resist yellowing and maintain clarity.

Can I take a PPF-protected vehicle through a car wash?

Touchless washes are generally safe. When using high-pressure water, avoid directing the spray aggressively against film edges to reduce the chance of lifting.

Why use thicker film on impact areas?

Areas such as dually bedsides take considerably more abuse. We use thicker 10M film on these applications because thinner film doesn’t hold up as well in severe impact zones.

Can PPF cover the entire vehicle?

Yes. PPF can be installed on smooth painted surfaces throughout the vehicle, including complete custom and full-body applications.
